Mandatory Orientation Requirement for Accepted and Alternate Applicants
All accepted and alternate applicants are required to attend the Mandatory Orientation on Friday, November 20th, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Important program requirements, deadlines, and next steps in the enrollment process will be reviewed. Attendance is mandatory to maintain eligibility for admission and placement in the program.
Application Process
- Review one of the Licensed Vocational Nursing workshops listed below. Workshops are recommended, not required.
- Complete the online Licensed Vocational Nursing application through NursingCAS.
- Upload all required supporting documentation, including the Multi-Criteria Selection Form.
- Request high school, GED, and college or university records as instructed for the current application cycle.
- If you completed foreign coursework, complete the required transcript evaluation process before applying.

- Criteria 9 Form - Second Language Verification
Note: Complete the Criteria 7 and Criteria 9 forms only if you are claiming points in those categories.
Selection Process
- Incomplete applications are not processed.
- There is no waitlist.
- Selection uses a combination of multicriteria scoring and lottery.
- If you are not admitted, you must reapply in a future cycle.
Requirements After Acceptance
- Health clearance and immunization or titer documentation
- Background clearance
- Drug screening
- Physical examination
- BLS American Heart Association
Health Examination & CPR Certification
Admission to the program is contingent upon submission of the following:
Note: These requirements are not required at the time of application but must be completed and submitted prior to enrollment in the program.
- A valid American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR card (valid for two years)
- A completed health examination form verifying clearance for unrestricted functional activities required for nursing practice, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990)
