Associate Degree Nursing (ADN-RN)
Gavilan College Nursing offers an Associate Degree Nursing pathway designed to prepare students for professional registered nursing practice. Students build knowledge and confidence through classroom instruction, skills laboratory experience, simulation, and clinical learning across diverse healthcare settings.
The nursing sequence is designed as a four-semester program after completion of prerequisite coursework. Lecture and skills laboratory courses are typically scheduled Monday through Friday. Clinical rotations vary and may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends depending on clinical-site availability.
Upon completion of the program and graduation requirements, students may be eligible to apply for the NCLEX-RN and pursue RN licensure. Completion of the program does not guarantee licensure or employment.
