Selection Process
Admission is competitive and based on the Gavilan College Registered Nursing Multicriteria Point System.
View the ADN Multicriteria Point System
- 80% of available seats are filled by ranking applicants in descending order based on total multicriteria points.
- 20% of available seats are selected by random draw among qualified applicants who earn a minimum overall score of 75 points or higher.
There is no waitlist. Applicants are either accepted or denied for that admission cycle. Students who are not selected are encouraged to reapply in a future application period.
Final admission is contingent on verification of all eligibility requirements and completion of required clinical compliance documentation.
Military Personnel
Applicants with qualifying military education and experience should review the Military Personnel criteria and policy on the Advanced Placement page. That page includes eligibility, required documentation, challenge procedures, and credit for prior learning information.
