Career and Academic Pathways Specialist
Daisy exemplifies the missions and values of Gavilan College by serving as a connector across students, faculty, employers, and university partners. Through her leadership and contribution students receive multi-department coordinated student support that guides them from the beginning and ending of their journey at Gavilan College. Daisy’s work contributes to the advancement of embedding career exploration, transfer preparation, work-based learning, and community building into the student experience helping students gain clarity and follow a pathway towards success. She demonstrates initiative in building relationships with employers and universities for students to transition into career or four-year institutions. At her desk she’s focused, outside of her desk she brings energy, organization, and purpose, whether it's coordinating events, engaging students, organizing tours, or collaborating with her colleagues. In addition to her role, Daisy demonstrates exceptional leadership and service as a union steward and active member of multiple committees, including Student Worker Committee, Onboarding Committee, Graduation Committee, and Equity Committee. Her involvement reflects a deep commitment to improving institutional practices and advancing equity for students.
