Active minds is a safe space and support club with the mission of breaking the stigma around mental health. Active minds is a large organization that can be found online and at other campuses. Our clubs main goal on campus is to change the conversation around mental health for students by promoting healthy coping, listening and helping each other, and sharing personal experiences. |

The Black Student Union (BSU) at Gavilan College is a space to celebrate Black culture, identity, and community while creating opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. We host discussions, activities, and events that highlight Black experiences and voices, while welcoming students of all backgrounds who want to learn, share, and build community. Join us to connect, grow, and make a positive impact on campus. The Christians at Gavilan club is open to anyone who'd like to join regardless of beliefs. Whether you're a person who's been to church all their life or an individual whose just curious and would like to know more we are a group that welcomes everyone. Our main focus is on learning more about the Christian Bible through our Tuesday/Wednesday Bible studies our aim is to be students who positively impact our community and families through faith, love and joy. We also have plans for occasional social outings off campus where we can fellowship and grow closer to one another as we all grow closer to God We will be holding our club meetings every Tuesday and Wednesday at 12:00 pm either outdoors by the cafeteria or in a room TBD

Our Cosmetology Club is an extra support system for our students who are in the Cosmetology program here at Gavilan College. You have a say in club activities, spirit days, pot lucks, and campus activities. Input opinions and have a voice here in the cosmetology program, and a more fun way to enjoy the cosmetology program with your peers. Meetings take place in the Cosmetology Department on Tuesdays every 3 weeks |

“When a billion people go hungry each day, how can we spend another dollar on war?” Get involved in a grass roots efforts to address the root causes of our communities' most pressing issues. We organize, aid, and participate in mutual aid efforts locally and in neighboring communities to help alleviate some of the hardships faced by the least fortunate amongst us. We are WORKERS, STUDENTS, PARENTS taking action and standing up against war by exercising our fundamental rights and providing our community with the language to be able to express their thoughts and grievances." |

The Gavilan Literary Society seeks to create a space where people can actively engage with works of literature. In sharing their unique perspectives, club members can help themselves and other participants grow as thinkers, promoting creative and academic growth outside of the classroom. Global Climate Club |

The GLOBAL (Gavilan Leaders of Building a Livable) Climate Club participates in the fight against climate change through education, campus and community activities, and advocacy. Regular meetings have typically included discussions on climate news, calls to Congress to encourage climate action, and planning for upcoming events. In addition to regular meetings, our club has participated in beach clean-ups, hands-on educational workshops for middle schoolers at Science Alive, and climate rallies in the Bay Area. We meet on Wednesdays on Zoom, about every 3 weeks. Zoom link can be obtained by emailing the club advisor.

Rho Alpha Mu Honor Society |

Rho Alpha Mu is the Gavilan College chapter of Alpha Gamma Sig- ma, the California Community College Honor Scholarship Society. Its purpose is to recognize student scholarship, contribute to the social and cultural life of the campus and to provide and promote active involvement with the larger community through voluntary community service activities. Membership is open to all those with at least a 3.0 grade point average. There are a number of financial award possibilities for members in good standing. Meeting Weekly, with bi-weekly times. ex) Meeting 1 Friday 2:30pm-3:30pm in Math Lab Meeting 2 Wednesday 12pm-1pm (Tentatively) (Still need to determining time and room) |

TADA (Theater Arts and Dramatic Activities) is the Theater Club for all Gavilan students. Our mission is to promote and encourage theatrical events in the greater Gilroy area. We have many exciting events in the works such as a Gavilan-wide talent show and our spring play, House of Desires. TADA meetings are held every other Wednesday from 3:30-4:00 in the Theater Building.
