To our students: thank you for choosing Gavilan College and for allowing us to be part of your journey.
You arrive with different stories, identities, responsibilities, dreams, and reasons for being here. Some of you are taking your first steps into college. Some are returning after time away. Others are nearing the finish line. Wherever you are in your journey, you belong here, and we are glad you are here.
That is the heart of Student Services.
We are here to welcome you, connect you, advocate for you, celebrate you, and walk alongside you. College will bring moments of discovery and achievement, and there may also be moments when the path feels uncertain. In all of those moments, know that there are people at Gavilan ready to listen, help, and remind you of what is possible.
As we begin 2026–27, Student Services remains committed to creating an experience that is connected, equitable, intuitive, and human. We will continue to strengthen how we work together, remove barriers, and build upon the work of those who came before us so that our students can spend less time navigating systems and more time pursuing their dreams.
Because students do not experience our organizational chart. You experience us.
Every welcome matters. Every conversation matters. Every connection matters. And every student matters.
Our promise is not perfection. It is presence. It is showing up, listening, learning, and continuing to become better for the students and communities we serve.
To our students, dream boldly. Ask questions. Find your people. Discover what moves you. And when the journey becomes difficult, remember that you do not have to walk it alone.
