FALL 2025 DEADLINES

FALL SEMESTER BEGINS	August 25, 2025
LABOR DAY HOLIDAY (No day or evening classes.)	September 1, 2025
DEADLINE TO REGISTER/ADD A SEMESTER-LONG COURSE Unless class is open entry or late-start. Use online services. All add codes must be used by September 5th.	September 5, 2025
LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR AN INDEPENDENT STUDY	September 5, 2025
“NRS” DEADLINE “No Record Shown”. Semester long-courses dropped by this date do not appear on the student’s permanent record. The “NRS” deadline for short-term courses is <20% of the class meetings.	September 7, 2025
DEADLINE TO DROP WITH A REFUND Fees will be refunded by check to student (regardless of original method of payment) when semester-long courses are officially dropped by this date. Short-term courses must be dropped before 10% of the course meetings have passed. For one or two-day classes, this date will occur before the start of the course.	September 7, 2025
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT A FALL 2025 GRADUATION PETITION REQUIRING AN ADT (AS-T/AA-T) E-VERIFICATION FOR THOSE TRANSFERRING TO A CSU SPRING 2026	October 24, 2025

“W” DEADLINE Semester-long courses dropped by this date appear on the student’s permanent record with a notation of “W” for withdrawn. The “W” deadline for a short-term/extended term course is 75% of the course meetings.	November 14, 2025

Submit your Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) to UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, or UC Santa Cruz

September/October

Make an appointment with your counselor to complete your Gavilan Graduation Petition for Fall Graduation

October 1 - November 30

Filing period opens for FAFSA (October 1st)

UC Application & CSU Application filing period for Fall transfer students

January

Report final grades and any additional coursework to the university you are planning to transfer to

February/March

Make an appointment with your counselor to complete your Gavilan Graduation Petition for Spring graduation

March 1 - May 1

Notification for Fall admission decisions are sent to you by mail

Deadline for submission of FAFSA and GPA Verification Form

Deadline for Fall transfers to submit "Statement of Intent to Register" to most chosen CSU universities
