The Cal-HBCU Transfer Grant (Cal-HBCU) Program is a grant program that awards up to $5,000 to students who have completed an Associate’s Degree for Transfer (ADT) pathway and transfer from a California Community College to an eligible, partnered Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCU). The program is currently accepting applications for both the 2025-26 and 2026-27 Academic Years! The deadline for 2025-26 transfer students is June 30, 2026. The deadline for 2026-27 transfer students is June 30, 2027. The Cal-HBCU application is available on our website here: csac.ca.gov/cal-hbcu. Information regarding student eligibility requirements and eligible HBCUs can also be found on our website.
