Scholarships
Help Students Reach Their Goals
Scholarships are one of the most direct ways to support Gavilan College students. A scholarship can help a student pay for tuition, books, supplies, transportation, or other educational expenses. More importantly, it sends a powerful message: someone believes in their potential.
Why Scholarships Matter: Many Gavilan students balance school with work, family responsibilities, and financial challenges. Scholarship support can reduce stress, increase persistence, and help students stay focused on completing their educational goals. Scholarship gifts can help students begin or continue their college education, complete a certificate or degree, transfer to a four-year university, prepare for a career, and build confidence and momentum.
Ways to Support Scholarships: Support an Existing Scholarship: Donors may contribute to an existing scholarship fund and help increase the number or size of awards available to students. Give to Scholarships
Establish a Named Scholarship: Donors may create a scholarship in their name, family’s name, business’s name, or in honor or memory of someone special. Contact (Connect with us )Us About Starting a Scholarship.
Endowed Scholarships: An endowed scholarship creates a permanent source of support. Include this section only if the Foundation is ready to promote endowed scholarships and can confirm minimum gift amounts.
For Current Scholarship Donors: For donors interested in establishing or updating a scholarship, the Foundation may provide a separate scholarship form or direct link. Contact (Connect with us ) Us About Starting a Scholarship.
