Introducing Our New Intranet

Dear Gavilan Community,

I am thrilled to announce the official launch of the Gavilan College Intranet. Your new, all-in-one digital home for everything employee-related.

For too long, we’ve navigated “digital sprawl,” hunting through different websites and bookmarks just to find a single form. Today, we change that. We’ve consolidated our resources into a single, streamlined hub designed specifically for you.

What’s Inside?

Think of the Intranet as your personal “Command Center.” From the Intranet, you can access:

Human Resources & Payroll: Access your employee benefits, submit your timesheets, or look up a colleague in the employee directory.
Operational Support: Need help? Use the direct-link portal to submit requests for IT Support, Maintenance, Marketing, or Reprographics.
Governance & Planning: Stay compliant and on schedule by reviewing the latest Board policies, procedures, and the official academic calendar.
Employee-First News: No more digging through general campus announcements. This section is dedicated to news, events, and updates specifically for our faculty and staff.
The Document Hub: A dedicated space for all HR, Business, Payroll, and Foundation forms.

Getting Started is Easy

Click the Intranet link on the main navigation bar.
Logging in: If you are off-campus, simply use your standard network username and password.

This is a “living” platform that will evolve based on your feedback. As you explore, you will see a “Provide Feedback” link on the right side of the page. Whether you find a bug, want to recommend a new feature, or simply want to share what’s working, we want to hear from you.

This launch is the result of an incredible cross-departmental collaboration. I would like to extend my appreciation to all departments involved in this project. Special thanks to Saul Salinas, our Senior Systems and Network Engineer, whose vision and tireless hours of design and development made this platform possible.
