Professional Learning Day and Convocation
Dear Campus Community,
We are thrilled to invite you all to kick off the new academic year with our Fall 2026 Professional Learning Day and Convocation on the Gilroy campus. View the flyer.
We begin on Thursday, August 20, with an optional Professional Learning Day featuring nine interactive sessions on topics ranging from data literacy and Ethnic Studies to AI-resistant assessment and more.
On Friday, August 21, we will gather in person from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for our mandatory Convocation, which includes our opening welcome, district updates, a celebration of new employees, seven specialized workshops, and department meetings. Part-time faculty are warmly encouraged to participate and will be compensated at the meeting rate.
