Student Services Offices Move into New Library and Student Resource Center

Gavilan College has opened the doors to its new Library and Student Resource Center (LSRC), bringing several Student Services departments together in one building on the Gilroy campus. 

The library and other academic resources will move into the building over winter break in preparation for spring 2027. Opening in phases gives departments time to settle in and help students become familiar with the space before the official ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 22, 2027.

Student Services offices opening this fall 

By October 27, the following offices will be open on the first floor: 

  • Welcome Center 
  • Admissions and Records 
  • Financial Aid 
  • Transfer and Career Center 
  • Student Support Programs 
  • Accessible Education Center 
  • Veterans Resource Center 

Students visiting Admissions and Records or Financial Aid should check in at the Welcome Center first. 

Gavilan’s Executive Team is also moving into the new building, with offices on the second floor. 

Library moves during winter break 

The Library, Tutorial Center, and Writing Center will remain in their current locations through the end of the fall semester. They will move into the new LSRC during winter break in preparation for the spring 2027 semester. 

El Centro and Higher Aspirations will continue operating in their current locations. 

Entering the new building 

Visitors should follow Sycamore Lane to the front entrance closest to Parking Lot A. Other building entrances, including the exterior doors on the second floor, remain closed at this time. 

To reach offices on the second floor, use the stairs or elevator near the Welcome Center.
