Louis Zulaica Named to CCCBCA All-State Team
by PIO on Jul 2, 2024GILROY, CA - Gavilan College’s 2024 baseball graduate, Louis Zulaica, was named to the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBA) All-State Team. Following an impressive 2024 season that saw Zulaica named the Coast Conference South Division MVP, the Valley Christian High School alum can now add All-State to his list of honors.
Over 40 games, Zulaica compiled a .394 batting average (63 for 160) with 63 hits, 5 home runs, 20 doubles, and 38 RBI. In 20 conference games, Zulaica hit an impressive 469 with a .790 slugging percentage.
He also came up big for the Rams on the mound as Zulaica struck out 14 batters over 13 innings while compiling a 1-1 record with 2 saves.
According to Gavilan Baseball Head Coach Rob Sanchez:
“(Louis) is the first Ram to be named All-State since the Rams' conference championship season in 2015.”
