Session Length and Frequency
- 30-50 minutes per session
- Weekly recurring appointments available
- Recommended: Meet at least once weekly for best results
Preparing for Your Session

- Bring course materials (books, assignments)
- For online sessions: Upload assignments or prepare to share screen
- Group sessions welcome (please notify in advance)
- Arrive on time, plan to stay full session
- Check email/WCONLINE after session for summary and next steps
Attendance Policy
- Notify in advance if unable to attend (lcwc@gavilan.edu)
- Multiple missed sessions without notice may result in canceled future appointments
In-Person
- Visit either Learning Commons during operating hours
- No appointment needed for walk-in services
- Multiple types of support available in a single visit
- Bring your assignment, paper, or questions with you to work on
Online
- Schedule appointments via our booking system
- Meet with tutors or librarians through Zoom

- Camera encouraged but not required
After Hours
NetTutor provides backup support when Gavilan services are closed:
- Access through iLearn in your course navigation
- 15 hours available per semester
