Gavilan College Marks One Year Anniversary of Hollister Campus
by Public Information Office on Jan 6, 2026Gavilan College will mark one year of instruction at its Hollister campus on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Instruction began in January 2025 at the campus, located at 505 Fairview Road, after a community ribbon cutting held the previous November. The site was developed to reduce the need for San Benito County residents to travel outside the area to access college courses and services.
Over the past year, students have taken in-person classes at the Hollister campus while also accessing admissions and records, financial aid assistance, counseling, tutoring, and career and transfer services. Classrooms, instructional labs, student services offices, a café, and space for community use are housed within the facility.
“The first year has shown how strong and dedicated the partnership with San Benito County truly is,” said Judy Rodriguez, Director, Instructional Site Hollister Campus. “We are proud of what has been built and remain focused on proudly serving students locally.”
To mark the milestone, Gavilan College will host an informal open house on January 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Community members, partners, and supporters are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
