Gavilan College Fall 2002 Academic Calendar

Summer Semester Begins	Monday, June 17 - Check the Schedule of Classes for late-starting and open entry courses.
Last Day to Add a Class	Tuesday, June 18 - unless course is on the Open Entry or Late-Starting Lists
Refund Deadline	Monday, June 24 - Fees, minus a $10 processing fee, will be refunded when courses are officially dropped by this date. Refunds are not automatic, even when a class is cancelled. Students must complete a drop card prior to 5 p.m. on Monday, June 24 and file a Request for Refund form no later than 5pm on Tuesday, July 2.
"NRS" Deadline	Friday, June 28 - Courses dropped by this date do not appear on the student's permanent record.
Deadline for Selecting Grading Option	Friday, June 28 at 11:30 am - Last day to elect the Cr/NC/Letter Grade option for designated, semester-long courses
Holiday	Thursday, July 4 - Independence Day Holiday. Classes will be held on Friday, July 5.
"W" Deadline	Monday, July 15 at 4:30 p.m. - Courses dropped by this date appear on the student's record with a notation of "W", Withdrawn.
Final Exams	Last scheduled day of course.
Last Day of Classes	Friday, July 26
Final Grades Available	Grade reports are available to students August 19. Students wishing to have their grades mailed to them may leave a self-addressed, stamped envelope with Admissions and Records.
