Staff Development
Courses offered over a two, four, or six week period in an asynchronous format that uses a discussion board and email as the primary methods of communications. Some courses also meet online using the CCC Confer meeting software or a chat room. Some course may offer CEU's for a online course. These credits are post-baccalaureate, professional development units that are not part of a degree program, but are designed in collaboration with school districts to meet specific staff development needs. Learn about online teaching in a practical, hands-on environment. The entire certificate can be completed in a typical semester. Unique to this certificate is the generation of a portfolio of work. This portfolio is created in the first course and added to from course to course. At the end of the certificate each participant will have a portfolio of completed work. All courses are taught by experienced online instructors and presented in a consistent environment. This program is specifically designed to assist faculty in the development and delivery of online courses or course content. A total of 8 units are required for the Certificate Program.
