UPDATES
Multimedia Classrooms: Fran suggested that we update Jane Edberg’s projector and supply Denise B. with a projector & stand. It was suggested that we use extra data projector in Morgan Hill. Ed & Fran said they both loaned a projector to Morgan Hill for the part-time art instructor. With the move of Old City Hall, Morgan Hill should have 4 projectors now. It was suggested to do an inventory check in all 8 classrooms at the Morgan Hill site.
We’ve got $10,000 now for the renovations to SS 214. It will take $20,000 more out of Title V to do the whole room(total=$30,000). Ed suggested that it would be smarter to say we have $20,000 now so vendors can give us a better deal on tax, license, etc. out the door.
Tech Training / Hybrid Classes: Fran took the idea of Hybrid classes to the administration, ELT, and the Department Chairs. Steve would like us to look at all alternate methods of delivery. Fran would like to get a small group of people together to look at this task.(i.e. telecourses, online, etc.) Ed, Larry, Jen, and Marlene Dwyer volunteered to assist Fran.
Tech Plan: The committee approved the Technology Plan with minor
formatting changes. (Robinson; Parker) Fran will take it to the Vice President
and President for approval. Jane will make the final formatting changes and
then give it to Fran.
