St. Josephs Family Center
Mission: SJFC's mission is to alleviate hunger and homelessness in South Santa Clara county by providing food, housing and supportive services, and by advocating for system changes to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable people in our communities.
Activities: SJFC provides meals and groceries to people who are hungry and food-insecure, provides housing aid and services, including rent and utility assistance and housing placement, and offers VTA and transportation assistance.
Needs/Projects this semester: work with clients to provide bagged food or hot meals; fundraising events planning; follow-up to assess effectiveness of service provision; surveys and polls design and implementation; research into provision of nutrition and health information that is culturally appropriate.
