Parent Project of the Morgan Hill Police Department
Parent Project of Santa Clara County focuses on adolescent behaviors, and has grown to become the largest court- mandated parenting program in the country. Parent Project addresses critical issues parents face and offers solutions to their questions. It is specifically designed to address high-risk behaviors and strong-willed youth.
The Parent Project@ is a 12-week class created specifically for parents with difficult or out-of-control adolescents. Parents leam and practice specific prevention and intervention strategies for destructive behaviors.
Needs/Projects this semester:
Gavilan students are needed to assist with the program itself and with activities involving the children of parents who attend during the 6-9 p.m. class on Tuesday nights: Oct. 3 to Dec. 12, excepting Halloween. Besides recreational activities, the right Gavilan students will work with program lead to develop learning skills activities for kids.
Who should apply:

Students will need to pass a PD background check, so anyone with violent, sexual, or major crimes in their backgrounds should not apply. Students will be asked to program one hour of skills-training or activities each night, in addition to recreational activities.
Who should not apply:
