Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters
MISSION: The County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voter’s Mission is to protect and ensure the community’s right to participate in fair, inclusive, accurate, and transparent elections.
NEEDS THIS SEMESTER:
It is mandatory to work on Election Day, March 3rd and one other day:
- Feb 29th (8am – 6pm)
- March 1st (8am – 6pm)
- March 2nd (8am – 6pm)
- Information on election day: On election day (March 3rd), we request all volunteers to work full a shift which will include two meal breaks. We will have 8 vote center location between Gilroy (3) and Morgan Hill (5). These locations have not been made public yet, but when they are volunteers will be notified. Each volunteer will be scheduled to take a training class before working the election.
WHO SHOULD APPLY: Individuals must be able to attend the following orientation/training: Friday, 2/21 from 1-2:30pm at Gavilan College (LIB 170). In addition, students must be willing to complete their volunteer hours during the time frame listed above (Saturday to Monday, 2/28/2020-3/2/2020, 8 am to 6 pm and/or Tuesday, 3/3/2020, 6 am to 9 or 10 pm).
WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY: Students who cannot attend the orientation date or fulfill their hours during the timeframe above.
