Does your email say it has not been configured yet or reports some problem? Several students have reported this problem and there is a workaround.
This takes you to the myGav login page - now login with your GNumber and PIN. (example G00xxx123, 061287)
Accept the next screen. (Note: you only have to do this once.)
If you have a Gavilan email account, this will open your Gavilan email for you.
After refreshing the page, you should now see your email on the myGav page as well. This is not always the case though, it may take a few days to activate.
Sometimes a person can see her email from myGav but after clicking 'Open Mail' there is an error. Strangely enough, this error can often be fixed by changing your password.
On the Student tab click the Gavilan Self-Service Banner button.
Click the Personal Information tab and choose Change your PIN
Enter your original PIN, create a new one and click Change PIN.
Sometimes it takes about 15 for the change to take effect. Log out and log back in.
If your email is still not working after these steps, if you can't see it on gmail.com, please email the webmaster at email@example.com. Please include your name and GNumber.
