Gavilan, CA- It was a three set victory over visiting West Valley College on Wednesday night for Gavilan College, who won the match 25-10, 25-22, and 25-11. The Rams improve their overall record to 19-7 and 9-1 in Coast Conference play and are still tied for first place. With this win for the Rams sets a new regular season record of 19 with two matches left to play.

On a night where everything for the offense seem to go right, Sabina Gerard dished out 28 assists. The Rams had balanced attack with Tazi Apple (8 kills), Jessica Stofer (8 kills), Andreinna Castaneda (7 kills), Savanna Hartman (7 kills) and Ryan Asp(4 kills).  Defensively Gavilan had three players in double digit digs led by Karina Daniels (13 digs), Gerard (11 digs), and Daisy Valladares (10 digs). Asp had 3 blocks to lead to Rams with Stofer and Castaneda recording 2 of their own. There were 10 aces that were divided up by Gerard (3 aces), Heredia (3 aces), and Daniels (2 aces).

The Rams will travel to San Bruno to take on Skyline College on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. before hosting Cañada College next Wednesday night. That match Gavilan College will honor their six sophomores who will be playing their last home match.
