The men’s basketball team had 9 active players on their roster for last night’s game, however only one was playing in his final game in a Gavilan Ram uniform, Kobe Ordonio.  While the ceremony honoring Ordonio before the game might have been shorter than normal, he used all 40 minutes of the game clock to put on one last show as he dropped 30 points on San Jose City College in a highly contested 94-90 Ram victory.

While Gavilan had 6-point lead at the half 42-36, the second half was a back in forth game where in the end the Jaguars outscored the Rams but only by two points in the second half, which was not enough,  ensuring the Gavilan the win. The Rams shot 45% from the field, hitting on 11 of their 26 3-point attempts. Contributing to the offense was Kobe’s younger brother Tahjae Ordonio who finished the night with 25 points. The Rams also got 29 points from the bench with Daemar Potts scoring 16 with 7 rebounds and George Carter who chipped in with 13.

Gavilan will finish out the season on Friday night as they travel down South to take on Monterey Peninsula College. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. Go Rams
