April Student-Athletes of the Month

Gavilan, CA – Gavilan, CA – The Gavilan College Athletic Department would like to announce that three student-athletes have been honored for their hard work and dedication in the classroom as well as on the athletic field during the month of April. Gavilan’s Student-Athletes of the Month are Jake Baker (Baseball), Liezl Clark (Softball) and Keona Stopper (Beach Volleyball).

 Jake Baker Freshman (Baseball)

High School/Hometown: St. Francis/Mountain View, CA

Major: Administrator of Justice

Liezl Clark Freshman (Softball)

High School/Hometown: Christopher/Gilroy, CA

Major: Health Science

Keona Stopper Freshman (Beach Volleyball)

High School/Hometown: Notre Dame/Monterey, CA

Major: Liberal Arts, Multiple Subjects

Throughout the academic year, the Rams Athletic Department will recognize the achievements of its student-athletes on and off the field of competition by honoring them with the Togo’s Student-Athlete of the Month Award.  Special attention is focused on four main areas: academic achievement, athletic success, leadership, and community service.  This monthly award embodies the spirit of Rams Athletics and Gavilan College.  At the end of the year, those that have been recognized as student-athletes of the month will be considered for the prestigious Male and Female Togo’s Student-Athlete of the Year Award.  Special thank you to award sponsors: Togo’s on 1st Street in Gilroy and Articulate Solutions.
