Los Altos Hills, Ca – Only one other team in the history of Gavilan College Athletics, which goes back 85 years, has ever achieved the feat the volleyball team achieved after their match against Foothill College on Friday night. The Rams won the conference championship outright with their win over the Owls. That makes it three Coast Conference South Championships in three years, a mark never achieved by any other program. Simply put they went back to back to back. It is the programs sixth conference title.

The four set victory was a highly contested affair, which had the Rams winning it by a score of 25-17, 20-25, 25-15, 25-19.  Charlotte Cannizzaro had a team high of 15 kills, while Teresa Ochoa had 8 and Camille Finley had 7 kills with no errors on only 11 attempts to go with her 7 blocks. Kieley Hoskins had 31 assists while Greysen Gilroy had 14. Mikeila Banda tied her career high with 27 digs while Hoskins was the next highest Ram with 11.

With the win, the Rams improve their record to 25-1 and 10-0 in conference play. They will finish the regular season with two home games this week. First it will be Ohlone College on Wednesday night. The Renegades are currently one game back of second place, where an automatic bid to the post season waits for whoever ends up in that spot. Then on Friday night the Rams will honor their sophomores who will be playing in their last regular season home game against Las Positas College. Both matches are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Go Rams!
