The Rams headed to De Anza College Friday night to face the Dons for the third time this season. The Rams started off the game shooting 50% field goals, including Maddy Cox sinking two from beyond the arc, in the first quarter to take a 22-14 lead. The Rams continued to with the hot hand to stretch the lead to 12 points going into half time, 41-29. The Dons fought back to close the gap to seven in the third quarter. Julia Rodriquez went 4 of 6 in the fourth quarter to close out the 73-65 victory. Maddy Cox had the team high with 17 points, including shooting 70% from the 3 point-line hitting five 3’s, also adding 5 rebounds. Julia Rodriquez and Sadie Allen both had 14 points on the night, with Julia shooting over 60% and combining for 15 rebounds. Jess Curto added 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Jill Foster and Christa Arroyo each had 6 points. Jill added 2 assist and a steal and Christa add a game high of 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Jen Rosales ending the night with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. The Rams head to Aptos on Wednesday, February 7th, to take on Cabrillo College at 5 pm. The Men’s game will follow at 7 pm.
