The Social Science Department includes anthropology, history, political science, psychology, and sociology. These disciplines prepare students to apply theory and research findings in their professional and personal relationships. Students engage in a wide range of research, presentations, group and personal growth activities. Currently the department is in the process of redesigning its major. We plan to have three concentrations under the new major: Global Studies, Community Studies and Community Services. While the major is redesigned the department continues to offer a Social Science major whose primary focus is preparing students for transfer to four-year institutions.
