NOTES:

  • Eligible Continuing students during Priority 1, 2, or 3 registration must be in good academic standing e.g. not on probation for 2 consecutive semesters or dismissal and have less than 100 earned units total excluding 30 units basic skills or ESL classes.
  • New to college students during Spring 20141or later, and who are eligible for Priority 1, 2, or 3 registration, must have successfully completed Assessment, Kick Start AND GUID 210 OR KIN 1 OR GUID 6 to be eligible for priority registration. Those who have not successfully completed an assessment, education plan and orientation may enroll during Priority 4 registration on May 13.

NOTE: Students must pay for ALL classes, Summer and Fall, including classes added after initial registration to prevent being dropped from Summer and/or Fall classes during the drop for nonpayment dates listed above. If students do not pay ALL fees and the outstanding balance on their account, they will be dropped from ALL Summer and/or Fall classes.

All students may go online to purchase a parking permit. Students can print out a temporary permit to use while waiting to receive the official permit in the mail. They will be notified by email when they submit their order, and again the day the permit is scheduled to arrive in the mail. Permit arrives in approximately 7 business days after online order is placed. Students who receive Veterans Benefits or have 3rd party sponsors should contact Diane Christianson at (408) 852-2840 in Admissions & Records for special instructions on obtaining permits.

  1. You are a continuing student or have been admitted to Gavilan and been issued a Gavilan ID number.
  2. You have no "holds".
  3. You have successfully completed course prerequisites at Gavilan College or have been verified though assessment or evaluation of official transcripts from another college.
  4. You are not in "dismissed" status.
