The app features lets students use their mobile devices to manage courses and schedules with direct links to instructor information. It also allows students to check grades and view their course history. Community members who are not enrolled as students can also use the app, but they will not have access to the grade and course features.
One of the features that is expected to be especially popular is the directory, making it easy to find phone numbers, websites, and campus addresses. Users will be able to find faculty and staff emails and make calls right from the app.
The Map feature will be especially helpful for new students, helping them to find a building or department, with a GPS guide to their destinations. The Events feature will help students stay informed on important dates and campus events. Users will also be able to visit Gavilan's social media sites directly in the application.
To get started, download and install the Ellucian GO Mobile Application to your phone using the buttons on the Gavilan College webpage www.gavilan.edu/mobile, or at the Play store (Android) or the App store (Apple). In either store, search for an app called "Ellucian GO" and install it. Launch the application on your phone. The first time you use the application, you will need to select your school. On the "Choose School" screen, select Gavilan Community College.
To see the menu without logging in, swipe to the right or press the Home button. Students and faculrty members can log in with the Gavilan ID's to access records.
