WHO: Teachers, business owners, students, and others who have always wanted to create a digital media project but lacked the time, skills or equipment
WHAT: Can enroll in DM 108, Digital Media Laboratory, for the annual Summer Institute for Digital Media Entertainment / Education. The main 4 week session with flexible daytime hours requires registration in .5 unit of DM 108, Digital Media Lab at a total cost of $35.50 for California residents. The project session is a "learn by doing" laboratory. Guest seminars provide the opportunity to meet and interact with Digital Media industry professionals. There is no charge for the Guest Seminars. This program is ideal for small businesses and community groups to produce promotional material. Students have access to one of the best equipped digital media labs in the Northern California.

Attendees will be able to customize their learning experience and project development with access to instructors, tutors, on-line video, and suggested readings. Digital Media’s Studio DM is equipped with pro-level computers and software including Final Cut Pro, Motion/After Effects, Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Logic, GarageBand, Dreamweaver, DVD Studio Pro, SoundTrack Pro, iPhoto, iMovie, and Maya for 3D animation. Hi Definition Digital Video camcorders can be checked out by attendees.
WHEN: The 4-week laboratory program starts July 5 and runs through July 29, The lab will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. - noon.
Guest Seminars: Tuesday July 6 (Huberto Kam from the Monterey Bay Aquarium) and Wednesday July 7 (guest TBA)
