GAVILAN COLLEGE, CA - This Spring, Gavilan College Community Education will add an exciting career field to the curriculum: the water industry. Within the next 5-10 years, over 50% of the current water industry workforce is set to retire. Courses in Backflow Prevention Testing (28 sessions, $495) , Introduction to Water/Wastewater Math (12 sessions, $425), and a certificate in Basic Water Distribution (12 classes, $425) are scheduled to begin in February and March. Each program is 12-14 weeks long, with classes scheduled on tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Students may also enroll in single-subject classes of the Basic Water Distribution program ($45 per class).
Potential students can learn about exciting, rewarding and well-paying careers in the water industry at three FREE informational sessions in Gilroy, Watsonville, and Pacific Grove:
