GAVILAN COLLEGE, May 10, 2006 - This morning Gavilan College basketball player Adrian Zamora, a resident of Watsonville, signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Montana State University at Bozeman, Montana, starting in Fall, 2006. Zamora has played on the Rams men's basketball team for the past two years. He has been a standout player for the Rams, and has garnered much interest and attention within the Coast Conference. Montana State University is part of the Division 1A, Big Sky Conference.
"Adrian's put in a lot of time and effort into the game and achieving his goals. It's a major accomplishment for him. We're proud and excited for Adrian and his family," said Ron Hannon, Gavilan College Director of Athletics.
Adrian Zamora has been a two-time Coast Conference selection for the All-Conference team. In addition to his success on the court, Zamora has done well academically, earning a 3.16 GPA and placing twice on the Dean's List. He is undecided about his major at MSU, but is considering Sports Management and Business.
