WHO: The Gavilan College Digital Media and Computer Graphics and Design programs
WHAT: invite the public to the first Hands-On open house in the Gavilan College Digital Media/Computer Graphics & Design Studio. Everyone is invited to explore and have fun with digital media and computer graphics. Attendees may bring a picture or home video to edit and convert to a Video CD using the lab's state of the art computers (both Macs and PCs) and software. This event is FREE and open to the public. There will be no charge for parking.
WHERE: Room 171 in the Library building, Gilroy main campus, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd.
WHEN: at 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2003.
WHY: This Hands-On open house celebrates Gavilan's new Digital Media program through which students will learn the use of digital computers for web design/production, digital audio/video production, digital print, animation, and DVD/CD authoring.
Attendees can obtain information about exciting career opportunities, certificate and degree programs, and classes currently being offered in the Computer Science, Art, and Computer Graphics and Design departments. On display will be student projects such as 3D models, Flash animation, and the Introduction to Digital Media class's 30 second video spots, some of which will air on Gavilan's new cable channel 18, Gav-TV.
Registration for Gavilan College Spring Semester is currently in process. Digital Media classes offered for spring semester are:

ART/CSIS 108 Digital Media Lab
