WHO: New students, continuing students, returning students AND high school contract students
WHAT: May register for Winter Intersession and Spring Semester classes at Gavilan College.
Winter intersession is a great opportunity to learn a skill (such as web page authoring) or complete a requirement in only three weeks. Classes start on January 3. Spring classes will start January 23.
A number of new classes will be offered this Spring, including AJ 176 - Criminal Street Gangs, POLS 6 - Intro to Conflict Resolution, DM 61 - 3D Animation II, PSCI 2 - Introduction to Meteorology (offered online), and RE 162 - Real Estate Practice.
New scheduling options include the "High STEP" program, through which transferable classes will be offered at local high schools in the late afternoons. High STEP will make it possible for students to graduate high school with up to a year of college credit already completed. In addition, the classes are open to all in the community who find the high school locations convenient.
