Draft of Gavilan College Master Facilities Plan now available for public review

WHO: Community members

WHAT: You are invited to review a Draft of the Gavilan College Facilities Master Plan, and submit your feedback and suggestions to the Gavilan College Board of Trustees. BFGC Architects Planners of San Jose and Kitchell CEM, the District's project management firm, provided the initial assessments, planning, scheduling and budgeting of the work that will occur over the next 7+ years. The Draft Master Plan addresses numerous aspects of the projects that will be funded through Bond Measure E, which was passed by the voters in March, 2004: process, planning issues, recommendations, design guidelines, project scheduling and phasing, budgeting, controls and accountability. It also includes guidelines for interface with the State of California construction and approval process, minimum technology standards for classrooms and labs, materials and equipment standards, and environmental, energy and sustainability guidelines.

WHEN: The Draft Master Plan is now available for public review, input and suggestions, and will remain available through Friday, October 7, 2005.
