Gavilan College and California State University Monterey Bay's World Theater team up to bring notable performers to community

WHO: Perla Battalla, vocalist, composer and arranger; L.A. Theater Works, the foremost radio theater company in the United States; Turtle Island String Quartet, a jazz quartet; ODC San Francisco, one of the Bay Area's most dynamic dance companies

WHAT: Will visit Gavilan College, to meet and interact with students and community members as part of ONStage, a FREE lecture and demonstration series. The series is the presented through the partnership of the Gavilan College Theater Arts department, and the California State University Monterey Bay World Theater, in an effort to make the performing arts more accessible to South Valley communities, and provide opportunities for interaction with professional artists. All of the featured artists are scheduled to perform at the World Theater during the 2005-2006 season.

WHEN: There will be four events in the series.

Wednesday, September 28, 7:30 p.m. - Perla Batalla
Monday, October 24, 9:45 a.m. - L.A. Theater Works
Tuesday, November 1, 7:30 p.m. - Turtle Island String Quartet
Wednesday, February 22, 2006, 7:30 p.m. - ODC San Francisco
