SUBJECT:  Request For Proposals for an Integrated ERP System

That the Board of Trustees review the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.


Measure E contained $3.5 million dollars to "Replace obsolete computer system with an integrated student registration, class scheduling and accounting system". To this end the Administration, working with the District Technology Committee, has completed a lengthily needs assessment and is now in the process of selecting a vendor to provide an integrated ERP system to replace the current systems.

Attached is a portion of the RFP for Board review. A copy of the entire RFP ( 61 pages ) is available upon request. The RFP has been reviewed by the District’s legal counsel, advertised in both the local and regional newspapers, and disseminated starting on September 2, 2005 to over 30 interested parties.

The projected schedule is as follows:

Release of RFP September 2, 2005
Intent to Bid September 22, 2005, noon
Last day for Question Submittal September 22, 2005, noon
Proposals Due October 7, 2005, noon
Vendor Presentations November 1 – 15, 2005
Develop Master Schedule December 1, 2005
Vendor Award (District Board Meeting) December 13, 2005
Proposed Project Start Date January 2, 2006
Budgetary Implications:

Funds are included in the Measure E funding.
