Outreach and Recruitment Services is committed to familiarizing the community with the variety of programs and services available at Gavilan College.
We look forward to assisting you in scheduling a tour of our beautiful campus, a visit to a specific department, providing information on academic, vocational and student support services or coordinating a college representative to make a presentation at your event.

Career Fair and College Day Representation/Presentations
A Gavilan College representative will attend your high school career fair or college day event. Our staff will provide materials highlighting Gavilan College programs and career related information.
Summer Campus Tours: Thursday June 30 and Thursday August 11 at 11:00 am - meet at the Gazebo.Fall Campus Tours (Every Thursday at 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm. September 1st - November 17th 2016, meet at the Gazebo 10 minutes prior to the tour). No tours after Thanksgiving for the Fall semester unless by appointment.
A tour of the Gavilan College campus is a great way for prospective students, parents and/or groups to see our beautiful campus. A general tour of the campus or a visit to a specific academic department can be arranged.
A Gavilan College representative will schedule classroom presentations with the local high schools. The representative will provide the students with information regarding Gavilan College’s programs and services, and will answer any questions regarding the admissions process.
Financial Aid Workshop
Financial Aid Workshops are available to assist parents and students with the financial aid application process. Workshops address questions such as: "How to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA) ", "Should I file the Dream Application", "How much aid can I receive?" "What types of financial aid are available?" and "How long does the process take?"
A college representative will staff an information table at your community event or at your High School campus, to answer general questions concerning Gavilan College programs and services.
On-site Assessment/Placement Testing
The Gavilan College Assessment Specialist will schedule assessment/placement testing at the local high schools upon request.
Parent Night Presentations
A college representative will attend your high school parent night program. College staff will make a brief presentation on programs and services available at Gavilan College and share materials to inform parents about the advantages of attending a community college.
Transfer to Four-Year College/Universities
Gavilan College Career Transfer Center provides information on transferring to four-year colleges and universities, including transfer admissions agreements with UC Santa Cruz, San Jose State University, and CSU, Monterey Bay.
