Marian Filice Youth Piano Competition / Festival

Event format

 

Junior Division :    5 to 15 minutes per performer
Senior Division : 10 to 20 minutes per performer

All contestants will audition the morning/afternoon of the competition.
Each contestant will be assigned a designated start time.

The finalists of Junior and Senior Divisions will be asked to perform during the evening award ceremony.
 
Judges Two judges will adjudicate the competition and will offer written constructive comments for each contestant.
 
Repertoire
 
Contestants will be expected to have prepared two contrasting pieces from the classical repertoire performed by memory (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Contemporary).
Furnish one score for the adjudicators (no photocopies).

Certificate of participation will be given to all participants.
 

Application Entry fees: Competition: $20 per participant (non refundable)
                 Festival:        $10 per participant (non refundable)

Competition is only open to those who reside in the Gavilan College service area: Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista, Morgan Hill, Coyote Creek, San Martin and South San Jose
