Gavilan College Marian Filice Youth Piano Competition

Event format

 

Division One: 5 to 10 minutes per performer
Division Two: 5 to 10 minutes per performer
Division Three: 8 to 15 minutes per performer

All contestants will audition the afternoon of the competition.
Each contestant will be assigned a designated start time.

At the conclusion of the auditions the finalists of Division Three will be named and will compete in the final evening competition.
 
Judges Two judges will adjudicate the competition and will offer written constructive comments for each contestant. The judges for 2007 are Stephanie Austin and Anthony Quartuccio.
 
Repertoire
 
Contestants will be expected to have prepared two contrasting pieces from the classical repertoire performed by memory (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Contemporary).
Furnish one score for the adjudicators (no photocopies)
