Evaluating Web Sites

Get with a partner, and evaluate the following four web sites.  Write whether or not you would use them for a research paper.  Why or why not?  Give two reasons for each web site. Remember these techniques:
  • Look for author information.
  • Chop the URL down to just the domain name.
  • Look at the ending of the domain name.
  • Look for an "About us" or "Contact us" link.
  • Click on some of the links on the site. 
  • What is the purpose of the site?
