Auto Reference Center -- A comprehensive collection of automobile repair reference information and contains repair and maintenance information on most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles. New repair procedures, TSBs and updates are added to the product on a regular basis.
Biography Reference Center: offers a comprehensive collection of more than 460,000 full-text biographies, including the complete full-text run of Biography Today and Biography, as well as thousands of narrative biographies including actors, authors, composers, explorers, figures relevant to U.S. & world history, inventors, musicians, Presidents of the United States, current world leaders and many others.
Business Source Complete: includes indexing and abstracts for the most important scholarly business journals, dating back as far as 1886. In addition, searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,300 journals. Also includs detailed company information for more than 1.1 million of the world’s largest public and private companies: case Studies, industry profiles, SWOT analyses, market research reports and more.
Consumer Health Complete -- is designed for the everyday consumer of health care information. CHC provides convenient access to easily understandable health and medical information. Consumers can search and browse within medical encyclopedias, popular reference books, and magazine articles. CountryWatch -- for information on countries and cultures. CQ Encyclopedia of American Government - offers thousands of concise, up-to-date explanations of the who, how, and why of American democracy. Expert, clearly written articles on contemporary and historical topics. CQ Historic Documents Series Online Edition-- collects more than 2,500 primary sources covering current events around the world from 1972 to present and provides a clear, logical organization and tools for exploring these rich resources. CQ Researcher- CQ Researcher is noted for its in-depth, unbiased coverage of health, social trends, criminal justice, international affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the economy.. Criminal Justice Abstracts with Full Text includes bibliographic records and full text of the essential journals related to criminal justice and criminology. This database features over 580 journals from around the world. Daily Life Through History-- Daily Life through History provides the everyday details about past eras that make historical accounts relevant and meaningful. EBooks on EBSCOHost -- The Gavilan College Library has purchased approximately 24,000+ electronic books (eBooks), making it possible for you to access electronic books 24/7 online through EBSCO. eBook Academic Subscription Collection: Unlimited access to nearly 80,000 full-text titles. These titles represent a broad range of academic subject matter from business and science, to engineering and the humanities.
EbscoHost Academic Search - Academic Search Premier is a multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for more than 4,500 journals, including more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for all 8,300 journals in the collection. EbscoHost also includes Newspaper Source Plus, Business Source Premier, History Reference Center, Health Source: Nursing and Academic and more.
EbscoHost Newspaper Source - Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for 25 national & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for more than 335 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided. Education Research Complete covers areas of curriculum instruction as well as administration, policy, funding, and related social issues. History Reference Center -- Features full text for more than 1,620 reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books from leading history publishers as well as full text for more than 150 leading history periodicals. Also included are historical documents, biographies, historical photos, maps and video.
Literary Reference Center Plus: is a comprehensive database that provides users with a broad spectrum of information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and timeframes. Literary Reference Center is a full-text database that combines information from major respected reference works, books, literary journals as well as original content from EBSCO Publishing.
Literature Resources from Gale -- Literature Resources from Gale is your most current, comprehensive, and reliable online resource for research on literary topics, authors, and their works. Its coverage includes all genres and disciplines, all time periods, and all regions of the world.
Opposing Viewpoints In Context - Opposing Viewpoints in Context helps students research, analyze and organize a broad variety of data for conducting research, completing writing assignments, preparing for debates, creating presentations and more.
Points of View Reference Center: is designed to assist researchers in understanding the full scope of controversial subjects and can be used as a guide to debate, developing arguments, writing position papers, and for development of critical thinking skills. Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600-2000 -- Women and Social Movements in the United States is a resource for students and scholars of U.S. history and U.S. women's history. The collection currently includes 100 document projects and archives with almost 3,950 documents and 150,000 pages of additional full-text documents, written by some 2,150 primary authors. It also includes book, film, and website reviews, notes from the archives, and teaching tools.
