How much does it cost?

The cost is $26.00 for each unit. Each ESL class has 3 units. Low-income qualifying CA resident students pay only $7.00, which includes your student i.d. card. For more information about qualifying as a low-income student, call the site manager, Judy Rodriguez, at 831 636-3783. Parking is free.

How and when can I register?

Complete an application at Gavilan College, Hollister, at 365 Fourth Street, Hollister. Monday through Thursday the office is open 8:00 in the morning to 2:00 in the afternoon. Monday through Thursday the office is open 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening. On Friday the office is open 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon, closed from 12-1 for lunch.

What levels of ESL are available?

ESL 501A is for beginning students.
ESL 501B high-beginning students.
ESL 502A is for intermediate students.
ESL 502B is for high-intermediate students.
ESL 503A is for the advanced students.
ESL 503B is for the high-advanced students.

When are the ESL summer night classes?

Classes are from 6:30 to 9:20 pm, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights.

Do I need to buy books?

Some teachers require students to buy books. Those instructors may bring the books to class meetings to sell them.
