2007/2008 GECA School Supplies List

The list of general supplies shown below will be applicable to all high school classes.  However, individual teachers will be distributing a syllabus for their respective classes that will add to this basic list.
A 3-RING BINDER (3") IS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS. We strongly suggest you purchase one that is high quality and well-constructed, as it will have daily use in all classes.

Binder Paper
3-hole punched, white, college-ruled, 8.5” x 11” binder paper (used for both in-class and homework assignments)
NOTE:  Paper torn from a spiral notebook, paper of any size other than 8.5” x 11”, or paper of any other color is NOT acceptable for any assignment and will receive a score of “0”.

Pens and Pencils
Minimum of two (2) black or blue ink pens and two (2) pencils with erasers.
NOTE:  An assignment completed in any ink color other than black or blue (or in pencil, when authorized by the instructor) will receive a score of “0”.

Plastic Zipper Pouch
Include at a minimum:  Post-it notes, glue stick, small stapler w/ staples, small pair of scissors, White-Out, two (2) highlighters (one yellow and one pink)

Backpack
Since there are no lockers on the college campus, your student will need a good quality backpack in which he/she can carry books, supplies, and his/her binder.   You may wish to consider purchasing a carrier with wheels, particularly if your student is small or slight-of-build.

Inclement Weather Gear
We suggest that each student have a jacket and/or umbrella for rainy days, as they will be walking on the campus to many of their classes.

All note taking for both college and high school classes will be done on Cornell note paper, which will be supplied by the Academy at no cost, and will be available at all times in our Academic Support Lab (PB-18).
