Welcome to the Gavilan College Cheer Club
The club was started by Heatherly Chenet a former Cheerleader and Captain of the Rams Cheer squad. She Graduated from Gavilan College and transferred to CSUMB.
After the club was officially approved by ASB Advisor Leslie Tenny in 2003.
We needed an advisor so we found two great and wonderful ladies
Rachel Becerra and Lisa Franklin. They decided to volunteer to be the Cheer club advisors.
We were then able to Cheer and do stunts at all the sports and events.
Later we held the first tryout in 2004 and it was successful.
To this day the club is growing and has progressed much better and we continue to have tryouts twice a year.
The goal of Gavilan College Cheer Club is to provide a quality cheerleading program to the students involved, as well as, provide maximum participation socialization team building skills and fun and safe atmosphere for all cheerleaders involved and most of all cheering and performing at Gavilan College sports and events throughout the community .
