JLE115: LIVESTOCK THEFT RURAL CRIME
This 40 hour course includes instruction on basic livestock theft investigation, breed and brand recognition, individual case studies, rural crime, criminal law, expert testimony, crop and commodity enforcement, livestock killings and slaughter, fish & game and enforcement. This is a pass/no pass course.
- Identify the food and agriculture laws that can be utilized by law enforcement agencies.
- Recognize basic breed and brand recognition and common terminology used when describing an animal.
- Identify livestock investigation procedures and evidence collection procedures.
