SPAN8B: CONVER SPANISH
This course requires knowledge of Spanish pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and present tense grammar. More advanced grammar and vocabulary, and cultural elements will be taught in the development of listening, speaking, basic reading and writing skills. This course has the option of a letter grade or pass/no pass. ADVISORY: Spanish 8A or equivalent.
- Students will demonstrate and apply basic Spanish vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar skills.
- Students will illustrate higher competency in the listening, reading, and speaking skills of Spanish, with the ability to converse as the primary focus.
- Students will demonstrate a higher understanding and appraise the historical, social, cultural and aesthetic qualities of Hispanic culture, using the Spanish language as a vehicle for discovery.
